Background

Schuyler S. Reece, CFA,  is a portfolio manager, and works closely with Wellington's Emerging Markets Debt Team to develop investment strategy, with a focus on Emerging Markets Corporate debt.

Prior to this role, Schuyler worked as a fixed income portfolio manager on the Investment Grade Credit Team where he focused on Emerging Market credit opportunities across stand-alone US Corporate, US Core Bond Plus, Core Bond, Long Bond, and Intermediate Bond portfolios.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2014, Schuyler worked at GW&K Investment Management in Boston, Massachusetts, most recently as a portfolio manager (2012 - 2014) and a portfolio assistant (2011 - 2012) on the Taxable Bond Team. Prior to that, he worked in both GW&K's client service and investment operations departments (2007 - 2011).

Schuyler earned a BA in classical studies from the University of Pennsylvania (2007). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.
